Diodorus Siculus

A Greek historian, originally from Agira (Sicily), he lived between 80 and 20 BC.
He wrote a universal history in which he reported all the events from the mythical age to the Roman expedition to Gaul led by Julius Caesar in 59 BC.
The work was originally composed of 40 books, of which the first five remain, about the mythical era of Asia, Africa and Europe, and the history of other centuries before Christ.
